Timelapse Zmovie Artifact Glitch - any help?

Hello, I have searched Pixologic support for this but to no avail.

Thought I would try here.

Im really wanting to record some timelapses. But everytime I do, after maybe 5-10 mins into the sculpt, upon checking the movie , suddenly artifacts appear and dont want to go away. Each time the start of the movie is fine, but then it will click into artifacts.

I have recorded before in older versions of Zbrush and this never happened.

Im using a custome Frame size of 0.75, maxiumum quality, intensity and colour(if they actually affect timelapse, that im not sure of)

I have upped the recording fps and playback to 20fps… could this be the reason?

When i play back the movie in zbrush I get the artifacts, and when I export the movie and play in Quicktime I also get the artifacts.

My computer spec is :

Intel i7 - 6gb Ram - 4870X2 - Vista 64bit

Any help with fixing this will be greatly appreciated.

Regards

Susurrus Phil

I have pretty much the same problem, but my artifacts appear only when I continue recording existing movie file. If I record and export one continuous session everything’s fine. Please guys, help us.

I am also having this problem! Looked all over the internet and this site for a solution… can’t find anything.

I always use default settings for timelapse - I don’t change anything unless I am doing a turntable. As far as it happening after an export - I don’t think this is always the case, however it could be contributing. Seems like I am noticing this happening sometimes if I hide an area in my mesh, change subdivision levels, or change subtools. Like I said though - it doesn’t happen every time. Also it only happens towards the top of the screen - one thing which seems to be consistent with all of us. I tried changing my background to a gray bg, eliminating the gradient… we’ll see if that works. I figured maybe it had something to do with memory usage but that’s just a big guess.

My specs: AMD Phenom Quad Core, 4GB RAM, ATI Radeon X1950XT, Windows Vista 64bit, ZB3.5r3
