Bornean orangutan
TheBornean orangutan has been placed on a critically endangered list by the International Union for the Conservation of Nature.The IUCN issued a new “Red List,” identifying the Bornean orangutan as “Critically Endangered,” or on the verge of Extinction
Due to deforestation the Bornean Orangutan’s have lost their natural habitat.
The rain forests are cut down for palm oil plantation which has taken away the home from the orangutan.They are subjected to illegal pet trade. There is a very bright risk of them going extinct in next 10 years.
In my artwork in have tried to replicate the torture and inhuman behavior we as humans have imposed on the Bornean Orangutan by chaining them for illegal pet trading and by burning down Rain forests which is their natural habitat for the sake of growing Palm oil trees.
