I have been working on this guy for the past few weeks when i have had time that i wasn’t spending on art assignments for class or RPP’s at FIEA. I was hoping since he is pumpkin themed that i would have a rendered out posed scene of him before Halloween but been very busy with school and only been using zbrush on a computer that didn’t have the Ram to pose my models for the past year. I really like how he is turning out and I’m hoping to be able to show him posed in his scene within the next week. He’s the first really all hard surface model ive ever done, with 95% of him modeled and sculpted inside Zbrush. In post i will be making the green parts of the suits glow and beet up the armor.
Story behind him is: His civilization has finally come to the age where they can travel through space at warp speed and go expand but they have to stay in their suits even though they may reach a planet they can breath on. They are plant creature that range from multiple kinds of known and unknown plants, like pumpkins, and they need a certain kind of water to live that is only found on their planet. so to keep them alive they need their suits to be able to hold not only oxygen but also this special kind of water. So they customized their suits to be able to hold water air tight in certain areas so others would be able to open up like his feet, fingers, spine, head, ect. That way if they came across any aliens that were hostile they wouldn’t have to solely rely on just the suit to fight but also be able to fight close to how they normally would.
I would like to hear some of you guy’s thoughts on him.
