Space marine

Hello all.
It’s my new presonal work.
I did it to increase my skills in the character design.
Modeling: Maya 2011, Zbrush 4
Render: Zbrush 4

That’s the most bad assed C3PO revision I have ever seen! :stuck_out_tongue: Seriously though, I’m REALLY digging this. All around this is just a very solid piece.

My head went OMFG, tiny details, hard surfaces, looking clean and a badass gun. You planning on texturing this? How many polygons?

I started this character on last summer :slight_smile: just i worked during free time and when i had the desire.
I took design the space marines armor from aliens movie As a start point and I did it more detailing. Turned out not bad and i continued this. [attach=249075]Alien_armor.jpg[/attach]

I designed helmet using the concepts from gears of war and killzone. There were two versions of the mask.

All armor i did in maya, it’s classic hard surface modelling.

I thought a lot about gun which he hold in hands. I had to choose between these variants:

It’s guns i made on my last job for the project who rest in peace)
For render i used zbrush and its very cool render pases.
I like render in zbrush it gives a lot of control.

cool hard surface modeling man :slight_smile: The head doesn’t look that great but as we don’t see it in the final i guess that doesn’t really matter ^^.
