Space marine

So I knew I had to make myself a “space marine” at some point after watching the cinematics for StarCraft 2 - amazing stuff!

I did a rought sketch in Zbrush, sculpting out the big shapes and then used the retopy tool to block out the parts one by one.

Hope you guys like it - C&C please!

Really nice work, going to texture?

Wow awesome stuff man
great weight to this guy well done

Very nice work. It would be great if you could provide more info (maybe a step-by-step?) for your technique!

Reminds me of the FOX NFL robot…

Very cool and very impressive! The armor looks so clean.
I agree, it would be really great if you`d share some infos about your technique.

Like it a lot!! Very well done. Just a suggestion for the lower face, slim the jaw line, move the ear a little bit back and lessen the area between the nose and mouth (philtrum)

Here is an example of what I meant:

the hardsurfcae part is my favorite, look nice and clean, but i think you need to take more time of human head and adjust some forms shapes ,proportion,it would be a great works for sure and good luck

Great work. I Like your Astro Girl too allot.

Yeah, aurick is right, it would be awesome to get some few of your workflow. Do you use allot the hardsurface brushes or do you take the retopo mesh outside (max or maya etc.) and get there the mechanical parts refined?

Many thanks and look forward to see that one finished :+1:

Maybe this will make more sense:

LOL men chick is super cool big respekt

Appreciate the feedback!

Tincow - Thanks man! Not sure if I am gonna shade and texture the dude, I might :stuck_out_tongue:

Hell Yea ! - Thanks!

Aurick, Moni-Poroni - Thanks, I will make a short description on my workflow and how Zbrush was involved.

sankar82, 3mm - I see what u mean, I was trying to achieve a more “worn” look with sagging skin. Apprieciate the comment/idea!

locusta - Thanks man! Glad you liked “Astro Girl” aswell

gogata - Hehe thanks! not sure I got the “LOL men chick…” comment :stuck_out_tongue:

 sory
Astro Girl -big model super cool

Not a problem. A just wanted make it clear, I’m not trying to disrespect your design in any way. You did a great job.

Very nice sculpting. The armour has a nice heavy feel to the plates and nice surcafes in general.
It needs some work on the anatomy though. If you take the front image for example and try to block out the human shape beneath the armour you will see that he will get a very strange body shape, specially the hip/waist area. My suggestion is to widen the waist are considerably.
