[Solved] Create InsertMesh but become NanoMesh

Hi, zbrusher, I supposed to create an InsertMesh, when I click the create IM button, although the brush icon show InsertMesh, but it actually a zModeler brush, and I can access the zModeler menu by pressing space. the IM I drag out on the surface, cannot be edit, it dosent have poly frame either, it just a normal nanomesh, the IM cannot use in curve mode also.

after I created the IM, I tried click on the “Create nanomesh brush” button, and I get error “please select an InsertMesh to create NanoMesh”

InsertMultiMesh have the same Issue, save as a new IM brush dosent help…

any idea? please…

Hello @Asaha

When you attempt to create a new IM brush from an active 3d mesh in edit mode, you should receive a dialogue asking if you want to create a new brush, or append it to the existing brush. Are you selecting the “new” option?

If you select “append”, and your current brush is already a Nanomesh brush for whatever reason, you will just create another Nanomesh brush. All Nanomesh brushes are controlled by the ZModeler interface, even if ZModeler is not the selected brush.

If you selected Auto and told Zbrush to skip this message at any point, restart the program.
