Smooth and Blur Brush

Hi,

How Do you use your Smooth in Edit Mode or the Blur Brush in the Projection Master Mode?
Because of the Z Intensity Limit of 100 i always have to smooth some parts of my Model for 1 or 2 Minutes?
Is there a way to improve “my technique”?
I know when i increase the draw size the smooth gets stronger, but then the area that is affected by it is to big…

I’m still using ZB1.55b but I would guess that 2 works in a similar way. Smooth has a greater effect on lower resolution meshes, so dropping down to a lower subdivision level should help? - Baz

Yes, start at a lower level of your mesh to begin smoothing if you have to smooth a lot of depth away, then step up each level and catch what is left over. So far for me that seems the best way. I also usually have to lower intensity for the lower levels or it does too much.

blur in pm should be affected by intensity. do you have zadd or zsub on or off? I haven’t played with blur in a while so can’t remember if its more effective or even uses them.

In PM zsub or zadd is on…
But most of the time i spent smoothing in edit mode - So i guess i can live with that level up/down thing, even if i would sometimes prefer a stronger zintensity
