COLLABORATION INFORMATION
Hello Zbrush. We’re looking to collaborate with a zbrush artist for our project “Slaughter House”. It’s a small project aimed at the iOS and things have been progressing well enough that not we’re in need for character artist to join our team.
The project itself is very simple. Survive as long as you can while you’re trapped in a room with a murdering maniac as your friend attempts to break you out. That’s all. We plan to deliver the project to the App Store by early March (2 months) and we guarantee that we will finish this. It’s all we’re thinking of working on. Profits from the collaboration will be split evenly between all contributing members.
“Slaughter House” is a single player side scrolling survival game with a strong emphasis on cinematic storytelling. I always thought the most interesting part of a slasher film was watching the victim be chased down by the mysterious killer and this game is meant to be representative of that. The game celebrates the cinematic narrative of next-generation games and presents them in a $0.99 package for mobile gamers.
Inspiration for the game comes from titles like Resident Evil 3: Nemesis and Limbo. Anyone remember the terror of Nemesis hunting you down as you ran from scene to scene? Or the sense of palpable fear as the giant spider in Limbo crawled its way towards you as you desperately attempted to flee from it?
The Game
The game starts with a pair of friends finding a cabin. One friend goes inside to investigate but the cabin door is booby trapped to trap whoever enters inside. He is trapped.
One friend is inside. One is outside. Suddenly a huge hulking figure with a huge butcher knife / machete walks in from the left side of the screen staring the friend inside. And the game starts.
If the figure touches the player even once - instant death animation. Meanwhile the friend outside starts slamming on the door, screaming to his friend. The longer the player lasts, the more cracks start appearing in the door. And so the player will have the visual reference for how long Furthermore - the figure turns out all the lights in the cabin so the only time you can see him is if he passes in front of windows. Then his shadow gives him away. That or if lightning flashes and you can see where he is. Other than that, the figure is usually hidden in the dark.
Eventually as the door is about to break, some noises come from outside and the
The game ends as the player walks out of the cabin with shotgun in hand.
