Really Basic Question: Cannot change Material after polypainting

Hello zbrush community,

I’ve started polypainting, filling the 3d object with color.

To better see the color, I’d like to change the material from BasicMaterial to flat color or skinShader4 but my object remains shaded in basicMaterial.

If I turn of Polypaint Colorize, I can see the material change, but of course, I do not see my polypaint.

I do not have a texture or UV on the object.

Hey Horus, Click on the ‘M’ button beside RGB on the top menu bar, switch your material to Flat colour, and fill your object at 100% opacity.
This erases the material information, but won’t erase your polypaint.

Now when you switch to different materials, your model will display properly that material with your polypaint

So you don’t do this again, make sure you have RBG clicked when filling an object with colour, not MRGB, as this will also fill it with the current material.
