Project all not working

I’m following a coloso tutorial for 3d character modeling and one of the steps says to press project all so that this plane could mold to the surface of this other object, but all it does is move one point a little bit closer to the object. Sorry I’m a complete beginner I don’t know the technical terms for anything.

Hello @ddbird ,

This is probably the result of the Dist (Distance) slider in Subtool> Projection having too low of a value. Max that out and see if it works. If the target mesh seems to disappear, it may be slightly under the surface of the sphere. Turning on Solo mode or transparency will help you locate it.

You could also use Mesh Extracts or the Topology Brush to create the overlapping surface already conformed to the underlying surface. It often produces better results to simply create the mesh in the correct shape to begin with, rather than trying to force an existing mesh into shape.

Good luck

I tried that but it didn’t change anything, but I found a tutorial that did helped me with the problem by using transpose cloth ZBrush - Snap Components (Edges, Points, Verts, Faces) or Objects. Kinda sorta??? - YouTube . Thank you for your help!
