Problem Using Masks to Extract Meshes. Back-face culling

Hi All, So I recently upgraded from z4 to z4r2b and there’s one problem.

So I’m creating a hard surface model, and I like to extract new geometry using masks to create new subtools. The problem is that when I use this technique on a mesh that’s THINNER than my mask brush, the mask bleeds through to the back of the mesh, and is drawn on both the front and the back of the geometry. Therefore when I go to extract, it comes out in both directions. Does anyone know how to change the settings so that the mask is only drawn on the polygons that are visible? I believe the term is back-face culling, but I couldn’t get that zbrush menu to help me on this issue (although I believe it’s still possible that menu could prove helpful somehow).
Thanks,
Rodgers

Hold Ctrl to activate the masking brush, and go to Brush: AutoMasking: Backface Mask

Awesome, that fixed it. I had tried that button, but I didn’t think to hold ctrl while clicking it. Thanks again

Or at least it helps when using the “maskpen” tool. Mask Curve still doesn’t work, I’ll have to try to problem solve a little more tonight.
