Hey this WIP of a sculpture from a painting I found in an art book. The pointing is by Filippino Lippi from the 15th century and named simply “portrait of an old man” its a smple painting but I’m haveing trouble (as you can see) mimicking the expression. Its a kind of tiredness mixed with pleasant contentness. It kinda changes depening on how you look at it. All crits are welcome.
Hey I think this is where I’m going to leave the modeling and start painting him in zbrush (which is something i’ve never done before) this is a render in C4D but I’ll probably try and play around with the settings a bit more (I’m still new to that program).
like this new version…not an exact match in the expression department…but i think i like yours so far better…will be interesting to see if it holds the same feeling if you continue to follow the painting or not if you experiment elsewhere…
either way…must say i wish things came so easily to me…you seem to be learning both zb and c4d? was it? so quickly.
only crit would be…lets see more than one view…
zb away!!
Hey I’m starting to paint the texture now in zbrush but I’m really not likeing the results so far.
Here are more views as asked for.
P.S I also added spheres for eyes in C4D.
