Polygon faces gone missing!!

Hi, I really need help, I have imported a tool/objekt from Blender (which I’ve done before, always worked) and It looks totally fine, until I start to sub dividing it…When I sub divide it gaps and holes appear on my object, :frowning: and I don’t know why, or how to get rid of them, how dose one fill gaps? (With gaps I mean polygon faces going missing) Plz help!

edit

scratch that, I just noticed it does not look fine when imported the missing polygons are missing from the start, I guess it’s cus they migh have been triangels…Is there anyway you “glue” the gaps together?

When you export your model there should be an option to Weld. Use that. Or in ZBrush you can select the Polymesh3D tool and increase the Tool>Import>Weld slider before you import the model.

Before exporting from Blender you might want to try removing doubles or using tri2quad. Another possibilty is that the normals of the faces are the wrong way, so also try recalculate normals outside.

I increased the weld tool too the roof and beyond :stuck_out_tongue: thought unfortunately it didn’t work. It worked on another object thought, which was awesome, thanks on this particular project I had turned the some of the normal faces the wrong way, and so when I fixed that it solved itself ^^
Thx m8 :D:D:D

Hey sorry for taking so long to post back. Anyway just wanned to tell ya that your advice was a big help! I’m very grateful.
Yup, stupid normal faces the wrong way; I made them turn the other side, and now every thing works fine again. Thx! :D:D:D
