Pixelated viewport

Hi everyone, this if my first post and I’m quite new to Zbrush.
I’m havign a few small problems as I come from traditional poly/subsurb modeling and find Zbrush to be amazing but confusing at the same time.

When I zoom into my ‘tool’/mesh I get a pixelated view, I was wondering what I can do to fix it.

Thanks in advance.

There’s a difference between zooming the canvas and scaling the model.

What you show in your screen shot is zooming the canvas. This will cause pixelation just like it would if you zoomed in on a picture in Photoshop.

What you need is to use the scale button on the lower part of the right shelf. The top part has the canvas zoom buttons. Below that are some buttons for selection modes and pivot points. Below that are the buttons for moving/scaling/spinning/rotating the model.

The Zbrush ‘viewport’ is essentialy a canvas such as you would find in a 2D paint program such as Photoshop. Zooming in on the canvas will give you pixelated results.

When modeling 3D tools you can transform the model (zoom, rotate, move) using two modes. Transform mode gives you a handle called the Gyro for transforming the model. Edit model uses keyboard and mouse clicki combinations to transform the model.

In the Help menu look under Modeling 3D Objects > Basic Transformations and Modeling 3D Objects > Edit-Mode Transformations for a description and zscript tutorials showing how to accomplish transformations. There is also a nice hotkey sheet under Zbrush Essentials > Hotkeys & Mouse Actions, which shows the various Edit Mode key + mouse actions.

Hope that helps.

Edit: I’m far to slow today.

Thanks guys,I appreciate the help, now I got it all figured out for the time being =)
