Hi Zbrush community. So I’m trying to create an outline , and Im doing everything right (toggle button) is clicked…I’ve tried to go to texture and make sure my model opacity is set at 100. I even tried going to draw menu and heading to front-back to get a backdrop(toggled See-Through). I even tried going to Boolean menu and clicking on Make Boolean Mesh…and nothing. Is there anything I can do to make my live boolean to work. It’s frustrating. Thank you Zbrush community
Hello @winter_ramos
The first thing to determine is whether you can create a mesh with “Make Boolean Mesh” in any file, or if the problem is only associated with a specific file.
If you can produce a mesh with MBM in other files but not this one, then the issue is probably related to the content you are working with or your process. Live Boolean requires a number of procedural factors to be just right, like the order of the subtools in the subtool list, and the subtool visibility settings.
There may also be an issue with one or more of the subtools involved. Meshes with problematic geometry may fail to produce a mesh with this feature. Be sure to check all your subtools with Tool> Geometry> Mesh Integrity> Check mesh.
Likewise, there could be something problematic with the positioning of the tools that are aligning just right to cause the operation to fail, for instance coplanar issues. In these cases, simply moving one of the subtools slightly should resolve the issue.
If, however, you cannot successfully create a UMesh in the Tool list (not the Subtool list unless you are using the Boolean Folder option) in ANY file, then there is likely an issue with your installation that you would need to contact Pixologic Support for assistance with.
Thank you!
Hey! Got same issue, solution: only complete Zbrush reinstall on a C drive helps, nothing more.
