My Gizmo disappeared! Please help

The weirdest thing just happened when I was in Zbrush 2018.
I was fiddling around with a subtool using the Gizmo 3D tool when it suddenly disappeared.
I had the gizmo unlocked in order to adjust it’s orientation and when I pressed “go to unmasked mesh center” it disappeared.
I thought it had simply just vanished from my current view so I zoomed out but it was nowhere to be found and now I can’t get it to reappear.
It works for every other subtool but for the one I really need it for. I’ve tried everything from resetting the Gizmo in the setting to duplicating the subtool. Nothing works.

I had this brilliant idea of deleting my undo history as I thought that would give me a fresh Gizmo, but all I did was ensure I couldn’t step back in history to get it back.
Not my proudest moment…

Can I do anything to get it back?
I miss the little fella

You could try this:

  1. Clear any masking for the subtool. (Tool>Masking>Clear)
  2. Mask part of the subtool.
  3. Invert the mask. (Tool>Masking>Inverse)
  4. Switch to Move mode so the Gizmo3D is active and then press Tool>Mask>Go To Unmasked Center.

Hey Marcus, thanks for chipping in.

I followed your steps, but I don’t have a Go To Unmasked Center button for some reason.

Yup, it’s not there.
I just updated Zbrush as well.
Strange.
