My first full model - Zack Khan IFBB Professional Bodybuilder

Hi all,

I've not been using Zbrush that long but I'm currently working on my first from-scratch full model. I know it's not perfect but I don't want to spend too long on him (over 100 hours already!) so I'm finishing the painting of him and then I'll practice so pose repositioning and attempt to get some experience of exporting out for proper rendering of him.

Below are a few images taken throughout the process. Thanks for any feedback / critiques - I really need them.

Photos are in order of completion of the model, some comparison shots between my model and the real guy too.

attractive man that the first one OMG …

This looks very good.Nice resemblance you got there. I follow bodybuilding a lot so i have seen lots of pics and vids of this guy…Do u know recently he had a very bad accident while squatting 800 pounds and he broke some tendons in both of his quads… He is on his road to recovery right now… http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZuuzW5oNL9k

Well again very good job. keep it up. :+1:

Wow, thanks very much Ashish! That means a lot to me, coming from someone as talented as yourself. Thanks!

Ah, I’m glad you’re a fan of Zack too. He’s incredible, easily the best British Bodybuilder ever (imho, anyway). He’s recovering so well from his injuries isn’t he. He knows about my model and is very appreciative that I’ve done it. Very humble and down to earth guy, and very very funny too!

I have to say, 410 views and only one comment - and now I notice how poor the views to comments ratio is on this forum. What is that all about?!

Hey thanks ZeBrushZ, didn’t see your post before for some reason but thanks, and yep, first full model. :sunglasses:

Some more images below. Now I’m just playing with it, creating posters, trying to polypaint realistic (ish!) skin textures and transposing (so hard - always end up badly mutilating the figure beyond repair:cry:).

Polypainting attempts:

Hey all, thought you might like to see the 3D print I just got of the Zack Khan model. He’s 4" tall and was made at shapeways.com in sandstone. I’m pretty impressed!

Always fun to see a 3D print. Maybe you should dip him in liquid vinyl,… or wax. Kinda has a sugar cube look, which is also cool & I hope not too expensive. Thanks for posting.
