Last weekend, thoroughly by accident,I watched a documentary
on one or the cable movie stations here.
Within one half hour after it was over ,I had ordered the DVD and
the soundtrack cd. I saw it again tonight the second time in 7 days.
The film is 90 minutes long and only has a slight commentary.
It is about the flight and migration of birds.
I know, I know, long yawn, big sigh, you are about to close this thread.
Not so fast, Academy Award Nominee, it has visuals that have not
been seen before anywhere, using techniques that were invented just for this film.
It was made basically in France, but photographically it spanned the
Globe from Anartica to Africa.
The primary reason I urge you to see it, is that I believe that once talented people like yourselves have seen it, it will motivate your spirit.
I personally wish I had that kind of ability, I do however believe I can recognize it.
The people that made this film have it.
I should mention that it has a thoroughly fantastic soundtrack which in my opinion
contributes to the success of the viewing.

I was actually hesitant about mentioning it.
As I said it was by accident.
If someone said do you want to see a movie about birds, I would have looked at them strangely, it would have been my loss.
From a photographic point of view alone it was worth seeing.
As mentioned, a French production.
