Hello, I’ve been using the movie palette export to QuickTime feature for sometime to record my sculpting sessions and what not. Seems with this version the ability to export out in QuickTime is missing, and there is no way to export loss-less out of zbrush with the mpg export. Are there any ways around this or to fix this? Thanks!
There are some scripts out there that will export image sequences which can then be turned into quicktimes either in quicktime player or a compositing program. Try searching for quicktime export here on the forum. Whether or not it’s lossless I could not tell you
Thanks fish! I’ve been able to find a few scripts that do export the document window out.
I’ve written a couple which might help.
For the TimeLine:

And for a turntable:

But I don’t think it’s possible to script a solution that would take a recorded movie and export an image sequence.
Marcus, Thanks for the great scripts as always! What I was looking mostly to do was to record the forward history to record the sculpting session and output it to an uncompressed format. I imagine that it might not be possible to record the forward history with all the camera interpolation features.?
Sorry for the late reply - yes, you’re right, it wouldn’t be possible to script a forward or backward history movie because of the interpolation necessary.
Thanks again Marcus for replying! Sucks to hear. Hopefully a solution is coming up in the future, such a great feature to have with such poor compression quality.
