Morph movie link

I’ve been playing around with zbrush looking at using it to create morph targets. I did this in C4D morphing between two heads made using the same base mesh. Here’s the link to the movie

Here’s the other model used in the morph movie. I used the same base model for each, and a number of different morphs to move the facial features. I wanted to see how the model would deform so I haven’t bothered texturing the model. Has anyone taken a look at the movie link yet in the first post? I’ve just started trying out animation so any comments would be very welcome,

nice animation :+1:

Thanks for commenting Pilou and Drummer

I do like it, but it appears that his head shrinks a little just before he turns his head…Other than that, very good start.:+1:

Yes his head does shrink because he changes from one model to another. Maybe I didn’t make the change obvious emough.I originally created the morph when a friend commented that my first model had a very big chin and I joked that he would need to go and have a little plastic surgery. This was the result.

Just took a look at it…had to save it to the hd to play it…my aol player didnt like it…but quicktime did  except for what was stated already about the size change I thought it turned out pretty dang excellent…can you point me toward any tuts or something that would explain how you did this …and maybe some of your workflow? thnx
ron

Thanks for the comment Ron. I made a base model in C4D and then used the tools in zbrush to put a little bit more detail on (but still pretty low poly). I then used the base model and put it into different poses. I then used these in C4D as morph targets. I could use sliders to change between the poses.

Here’s another morph movie. For this one I did not use the small head as it didn’t look different enough from the first head (so people tended to think it was an error). I used about 8 different targets which allowed me to move eyebrows etc. in varying degrees. Here’s a link to the movie. It is a quick time movie of about 1.5 mb

I see that a lot of people have viewed the page but not left comments. I am often in a hurry and browse pages without leaving a comment too so if that’s why then no problem. But I just wanted to check that people were able to view the movie link, I work on a mac and I assumed that this would work ok but if it’s not downloading I could try to change the compression.

I’ve changed the movie in the previous link so it is smaller and should play immediately just in case this was a problem - this is the fixed link link to morph movie

Nice animation! I like his expressions.:+1: :+1:

Thanks Digital Dreamer. These are some of the morph targets I made from my base model for use in the animation. The original model was made in C4D.

I like this one much better than the first. He is very expressive here! Great job!
