trying to learn zmodeler.
now I got some QMeshed surfaces but somehow not attached correctly.
can you refer me a method to fix this problem instead of another 3dapp import/export ?
in Maya Im using “merge vertices” operation with small tolerance to fix the weird polygons to cristalcleaning).
should I use Geometry>Modify Topology section or something I missed ?
(note: “stitch point” doesnt effect because inner faces.)
(thanks)
If you delete those inner faces using the delete function in zmodeler then you be able to use stitch. Also decrease your brush size to be more precise when your in that close.
yes. I did for a second attemption. but no luck.
in same object model, deleted qmeshed walls.
some of are regenerated. but qmeshed (from floor to top) doesnt attach to the relevant slide of the wall.
none of zmodeler parameter works with qmesh to make it work attached.
(note : no stitch doesnt working too at here. and I cant see without transparency what it has inner.)
Im sure polygon very clean all vertices are attached since to attempt to generate the purple wall (red arrowed)
and initial view before any of qmesh operation (green polygroup)
simply qmesh doesnt snap. I tried some extrude edge and some other methods but no luck.
it doesnt sense the section that it should snap.
ok fixed. the vertical wall hole regenerated via bridge. than qmesh worked… interestingly.
it seems the most clever and fastest polygon modeler is inside zbrush.
its too easy and practical. loved it.
I noticed in the pic with the purple extrusion that the brown group next to it has that addition edge that does not exist in the purple extruded faces. I’m new to zbrush and zmodeler but I know in a traditional modeling package that extra edge would cause problems. Maybe that’s what was causing the problem? IDK. Glad you got it fixed though.
I found weldpoints also fix weird unsnapped points togather and fixes topology problem too.
very useful!. it was what Im also exactly looking for.
