I need some help with a project of mine, I’ve so far made a nice mech with low poly, but with the help of copying and pasting, so everything is in different polygroups, as well as everything is intersecting with each other, and when I now want to continue with the high poly/detail work, every polygroup gets subdivided by itself, so they “disconnect” from where they started. I’ve already tried dynamech and trying to retopologise with Shemesh, but then I lose the edges/corners of the low poly mesh, and once again the product gets ugly and not really as low poly as it was… Is there a way to merge/weld/combine these polygroups with each other, so I can subdivide without the parts disconnecting
