Maya 5 Point Poly Problem

I am trying to make models using Maya 8.0 for use in Zbrush.
I want to have all quad polygon models.
The problem is I keep running into spots that either have a Triangle or 5 vertex Polys.
My 1st assumption was to delete and edge or a vertex, but everytime i do I keep messing up the poly next to the one i fixed.

And when i have a quad poly and just want to Cut that face in half it makes
the polys next to it 5 vertex Polys?

I’m sure I just explained that terrible but i hope someone knows what i mean.
I have included a image of the polys i’m trying to fix.
The polys that are selected are all quads.
I have tried to select the non-quad faces and quadrulate but nothing happens.
All i want is quad polys. “No Triangles or 5 vertex Polys”

quite a tangle you got yourself in here- possible solution anyway- best idea is to use an ‘edge loop’ variant- just follow the muscle edges- i’m assuming you’re modelling a side of a face though- if not disregard
