Masking Problem (bug?) - solution included

Hey guys, I’ve got a seriously annoying problem when i try to mask. Heres a screenshot:

Ok, the thing is that there seems to be a permanent limit to where i can mask on the tool. On the first image i try to mask a small area on the hand(1), but when i try to invert the mask it only inverts a small area(2), instead of the whole model like it should.
If i try to mask another part of the model (3) and then try to invert that selection all i get is that same area masked again (4), instead of the whole model.
This happens no matter where i try to mask. Ive done all i could think of to try and clear that mask. I tried going to the tool panel->masking and clear mask, but it doesn’t fix it. I tried manually clearing the mask from the whole model by using control+shift, but again, doesn’t work.
Anybody have an idea of what i’m doing wrong or how i can fix it? Its getting really annoying since i cant properly mask an area to use transpose or whatever else.

check if you have the symmetry button ON:D

Doesn’t have anything to do with symmetry, but either way i managed to fix it. Just had to hide an area and unhide everything. That fixed the problem.

Thats very good you resolved itself:+1:
…some (bugs?) were reported in nonsymetrical meshes that were symmetry X on.

Your not alone. Check this thread.

Thanks for saying how you fixed this. The development team are looking into the issue.
