Low poly young mage

Hi ZBrushers!
here some pics of my last low poly character (about 8 000 tris). rendered in the 3ds max viewport with the xoliul shader.

nice but you should add fabric detail layer onto that normal map in ps. it looks really smooth, and leather one on the boots. If you need i can share alphas.

Yes I know, I tried to add fabrics but I it looked too noisy to me, so fabric layers as a very low opacity, but in the end we can’t see becuase of the texture resolution . I’ll try bettter next time.
But it would be great if you could share your alphas anyway, mine leather alpha are not very good

my leather alpha is also nothing special but with some additional hand sculpting it can looks really nice;]
and i use the concrete alpha to break off the uniform look on the fabric alpha ;]
Oh yeah, i use them on the model in zbrush dont know how they will look if converted to a normal map and then merged with another normal map ;f

Thanks a lot!
Maybe I should try to use them directly on the model in ZBrush like you do, maybe it will look better than in photoshop.
And I’ll try the tip with the concrete alpha too
Thanks for sharung

By the way, you skull scuplt is awesome

concrete is my favorite thing ever i use it for everything, form breaking off human skin smoothness to surface details ;]
Applying alphas in zbrush is a lot better, but i displace them through the uvs, thsi way they match the model ideally, i just take the lowest sublevel at my high poly mesh, export it, do a fast uvs and then go into tools>displacent, a lot simpler and no seams ;]
And if you match the cloths seams with the uvs seams, it looks really liek the fabric is stretching around it and is not just slapped on ;f

Thank you very much for all these tips
I’ll try these on my future projects

Thanks again for sharing your alphas
