Legend of Zelda - Link

Hi Everyone!

Been a very, very, very long time since I’ve posted any work here, but I did a BPR composite I was proud of so I thought I would share. The model of Link I did several months back, but I finally got around to texturing and doing a BPR render this past weekend. Hope you enjoy.

And here are some images of the original Zbrush model.

Great model! But the lighting and the rendering is a littlt bit rough…I think you can do it better!Keep moving!I really like his hair!!! :+1:

I think the fairie is just as annoying in this picture as she is in the game :stuck_out_tongue:
just teasing, but I don’t think she should shine so brightly. it’s really distracting from your excellent model.

Hey Alex & Tyrone thank you for the quick feedback. I’ll keep playing with it and post up some changes. Still getting the hang of the BPR compositing been a mental ray guy for too long.

Thanks again!!

Thats a BPR render?! Wow nice one! Can we please see passes/ breakdown?

Looking good, though I would say if you are going for the original brown haired Link the sword should be in his right hand as he was originally right handed.

hum just for information : link is left handed since the first game so, what you think he was right handed is just a simple flip of entire game specially created for wii because of particuliar gamepad, hope you understand why he use the sword on left hand not the other side ?

Great work, I really love the renders.

All the best :+1:

Darukin beat me to it.

amazing work!

Thanks everyone for the comments and feedback. I’m going to keep playing with it when I get some more free time. But in the meantime here is my current BPR breakdown (minus some overlays for cloth, the alpha masks and navi). Nothing too crazy, but if you have any suggestions on how to improve the quality let me know, I’m still kind of figuring this out. Thanks Again!!

Nice work man, for a BPR it looks great

Nope, look into the original Zelda TV series. Google a few images and you will see

The TV series doesn’t count.

Very impressive.

Really nice!:+1:

brilliant job! I like the clay render best. The BPR render on top feels overexposed/fake. The sculpt is top notch, top row in my opinion. I’d love to see this taken further render-wise :+1:

OMG!! Top Rawr or something, this is just great!, everything looks great, the sculpt, the mood, the pose the style, all!:+1:small_orange_diamond:+1:small_orange_diamond:+1:small_orange_diamond:+1:small_orange_diamond:+1:small_orange_diamond:+1:

This is very nice, love both the sculpt and render! Great piece!

Hey nice work man, I have been keeping up with your blog and was wondering if you were going to post anything here. I think link turned out great. good work!
