This is my CG work “Jing Ke Thorn Qin”, the crude oil painting was created by Mr. Wang Kewei, a famous Chinese oil painter.
My CG work named “The Emperor and the Assassin” shows the story that a swordsman called Jing Ke assassinates the King of Qin in the presence of his ministers in the hall of Qin Palace for returning the kindness of the Prince of State of Yan. In my work, the human head in the box that fell to the ground belongs to another righteous swordsman - Fan Yuqi. Although the story of assassinating the King of Qin ends in failure and the lives of swordsmen Jing Ke and Fan Yuqi finally disappear in historical endless flow, their shared spirit of chivalry as mentioned in other Chinese idioms like “The scholar dies for his bosom friend”, “Save in disaster, and help in poor”, “Be true in word and resolute in deed, and keep the word regardless of sacrifice”, is so impressive and electrifying that it has been moulded into the unique embodiment of aesthetics.
With reference to the oil painting also named The Emperor and the Assassin by the Chinese famous artist Wang Kewei, my work was created and completed under the guidance of my mentor Mr. Yang Guang. On the accomplishment of my CG work, I would like to take a chance to express my sincere gratitude to all who help and support during my creation, especially the aforementioned my mentor Mr. Yang Guang, my Chinese teacher Ms. Qin Li for the Chinese introduction editing and my sister Ms. Meko for the English translation. Sincerely appreciate for all your supports.
Hope you all like my work.
