Currently running on mac,
2.9 Ghz intel core i5
8 gb 1600 mhz ddr3
Nvidia Gforce GTX 660m 512mb
My question is will adding more Ram help performance? I had heard that more than 8gb wont make any difference and trying to find out more on this so i dont want to upgrade if it will not make a difference.

Zbrush is still a 32-bit app and is still waiting to be upgraded to a 64-bit. Until then it won’t really use any more memory than about 4gb. Unless you’re running other programs that use it or you do a lot of multi-tasking you probably won’t see a difference. One of the best performance increases would be from using a SSD drive, as the hard drives are starting to be the bottleneck in hardware these days. CPU and memory have had considerably great advancements.
