Happily smearing paint around :slight_smile:

(following a tip by Stonecutter)

Brush 08 works well
PaintBrush
Freehand stroke with spacing 0
Basic material with ambience 20 and diffuse 80
+MRGBZ, RGB intensity 100%, Z intensity 10%
Spatters with spray stroke using brushes 40 and 47

Very good technique… definately tactile and looks alot like impasto!

Now you must Smudge and spread the paint and add some touch :smiley:
The green lines seems too darks
Don’t forget the rag for wipe your hands :smiley:

thanks gents, now if only I had a composition and some painting skill to go with that :smiley: … just a 4:30 a.m. doodle when I should have been asleep … a prelim sketch would help

grooves in the paint would be good … I’ll try to come up with an alpha brush that does that in the original stroke, as opposed to adding them in a separate stage

will also try contrasting spatters as an underpainting …
