Image has visible facets when rendered with Keyshot 5

Hi guys,
Attached image of a model created in ZBrush and rendered in Keyshot 5. As you can see the model’s surface as a very faceted look, particularly in the shiny metal band (Keyshot 5 steel material). This is not due to low poly count. I have not been able to get a “smoothed” look to the surfaces.
I have SmoothNormals on under Render properties in ZBrush before I sent the model over via bridge.
Any suggestions?
Thanks for the help.

“Calculate Normals” needs to be ticked in the import settings, which fixes that. But the problem is that Keyshot for ZBrush doesn’t have the import dialog box available, so we can’t use Calculate Normals as far as I know.

Forgot to mention the fix is to tick “Smooth Normals” in the ZBrush Render Properties. That fixes the problem.

Edit: Whoops, I just re-read you post and see you have Smooth Normals ON already. That should have worked, it always works for me. Sometimes the transfer is buggy, either doesn’t send anything at all, or doesn’t send all the info. I suggest saving the project in ZBrush, then closing both Keyshot and ZBrush and opening them up again.

Thanks. I’ll give that a try.
