Well, I’m in year twelve and theres some random Computer Technology Comp called “Young ICT Explorers”. Its a comp that allows students from south East Queensland (Australia) to make something cool that is IT related so I decided to put lots of effort into a 3d model.
I first designed some random black dude which then evolved into some futuristic light templar. Heres my progress so far:
Havn’t done any sculpting on this for a while. Been too busy with assignments and playing COD4 Zombies mod.
Heres an updated render. Im not very good at it but I’m learning.
Any tips would be nice

Well I decided to make my first Female model, so I made it the same theme as this so I could add her to the final render.
Ill hopefully create the legs tomorrow and properly texture later.
I have 2 weeks before I have to submit it so Ill hopefully get most of my Year 12 assignments done this weekend. Maths A = Bludge

If you want quick feedback, go to http://boards.4chan.org/3/
A warning though, the thread is anonymous, which means anyone can post anything. But usually its fine. Sometimes you get good criticism in less than 10 minutes, sometimes no body replies to your thread at all. Sometimes you get Chantards insulting you and telling you to go kill yourself.
I like it
If your too scared or underage or something, just post it on DeviantArt because its already full of crap nubs. You can’t make it more worse than it already is.
k, well about that homework, uh I kinda got sidetracked.
And just a question, if anyone can be bothered to answer,
Why are my bump maps horrible? They are 4096x4096 yet they look hell pixelated.
Do displacement maps have this problem, because I haven’t tried them yet.

Lol the head is massive. I tend to forget proportions after working on stuff for too long.
great texture and paintjob, but work on the sculpting your proportions are somewhat off, Once you know how many heads tall your character is you can then follow through in your effective renders, keep it up
drawing is also a plus even if your a cg guy,

The comp is due on 4th June so Yesterday I did 9 hours non stop on it. Skin material could use some tweaking but anything big I cant do because school is in the way.
Did all the amour textures and created boots, but I need a good pose. Any Ideas would be great (it can include guns, knives etc, something cool)
Ok, well I have to hand it in today to be submitted for the comp, so yesterday I took the day off school to finish it. Tonight I’ll quickly change the background to something less distracting and then it’ll be done.

K, well here’s the actual final production lol.

The image was rendered 2 times the size of this, but its too big to upload
It can be found here:
http://u3190.deviantart.com/art/Attack-of-the-Deathworms-166290578
took 2 hours to render
man, I know you had to do this in a hurry, but those proportions are very of. I do like the armor, but everything else is weird. I’m no anatomy expert either, but I have a friend who is, and he’d be ripping you to shreds right now.
Tranny Lara Croft?
LoL I found out i had an extra day
Here is the ACTUAL final production that was sent in. lol this is the last time I’ll be saying that.
I moved her legs a slight bit to make it clear that she is kneeling as some of my friends thought she was running for some reason. Added an extra muzzle flash and removed the gay bullet trace thingo. Added an extra light and changed the crate materials.
