How to use Ghost Transparency on active sub object?

Im using dynamesh for my sculpting and i want my tool to see through so that i can follow my reference. I find ghost transparency pretty cool but it makes other tools that are not active, transparent. but i want to make my active sub tool to be ghost transparent. how to do this? thanks for your time…

Don’t use Ghost. Turn on Transparency but then turn Ghost off.

I think you have 2 options:

  1. Go to Texture/Reference Views/ play with the Model Opacity
  2. Load a backgroud Texture in your Grids and set Fill mode as you wish. Probably 3 it´s what you are looking for. This is specially usefull if you are using image references: http://docs.pixologic.com/reference-guide/draw/floor-grid/
