how to Select and Isolate a part of my mesh?

Hello and thanks for your time,

I have a four legged creature and I find it difficult to sculpt every part of the model since the model large and hard to navigate around.

I’m just wondering if there is a way to select and isolate a region, have everything except the foot disappear and just work on the foot. After I can recall the rest of the model.

Is there a way? thx Lemon

  1. While holding down Ctrl+Shift, click on Brush icon and then click on SelectLasso brush.
  2. While still holding down Ctrl+Shift, draw a green mask around the part you want showing, then let go of LMB. Everything else will be hidden.
  3. To unhide everything, hold down Ctrl+Shift and click on empty part of canvas.

excellent

I strongly recommend watching the videos on this page:

They’re quick and easy, and you learn quite a lot from them.
