How to get a chain IMM brush to a subtool?

Hi,

I want to add a IMM Chain brush to my character made by Bad King I believe. I know how to get it on my character but how do I get the chain to become a subtool? Thanks

Split masked or unmasked part in the tool:subtool menu.

I’m having trouble snapping the brush to my mesh / object. How should I adjust the settings so the chains snap to my character?
