How to disable zmodeler welding?

Is there any way to disable the automatic welding feature in ZModeler? When I have a high polygon count on my model, every time I use ZModeler to adjust any part of the model, it automatically welds all the points that are close together, and it’s quite annoying.Even if I set the ZModeler Welding Tolerance to 1, it doesn’t help.

Hi @Yune ,

If even setting the Zmodeler Welding Tolerance to a minimum value does not prevent it from happening, it makes me suspect the target mesh may be abnormally sized in the worldspace. If the mesh has a Geometry> Size > XYZ of less than 1.0, you may experience a number of issues with the mesh. If this is the case I would recommend using Tool> Deformation> Unify on the mesh , or otherwise temporarily increasing the size.

It is also possible the issue is being caused by some sort of problematic or unstable geometry. Be sure to check for issues with Geometry> mesh Integrity> Check Mesh, and correct any problems.

If none of the above seems to apply, please contact Maxon support and provide the file for examination.

Thank you!
