Subtool Master multi-append/insert works when importing multiple files. For a tool file with multiple subtools that has already been loaded into ZBrush, as would be the case when clicking on it in Lightbox, you can only append the subtools one at a time.
You could, however, create a merged version of the Tool with one of the Subtool> Merge functions like merge visible, append the merged tool in a single step, then use one of the Subtool> Split commands like “Split to Parts” to split all the individual meshes back into separate subtools.
You could also export the desired tool to separate files using a function like OBJ extended where you select “all” , and “export as separate files”. This will create a series of exports that can then be multi-appended in a single step to your target tool with Subtool Master.
If your subtools have multiple levels of subdivision, these are likely to be lost with the above options. However if the mesh is exported/saved at the highest level of subD, the lower subdivision levels can generally be reconstructed.
