How do I make a leaf paper thin?

Hey guys, how do I make this leaf model paper thin (or maybe 5 sheets of paper thick)? If this requires using some sort of flatten then how can I get the bends back in? I have this leaf bend from the side as you can see also if you look from the front its got a U shape. I tried to mask the top part only but its very difficult as there is no backface culling options. If anyone has a solution around this I’d love to hear it!

Unless I’m missing something wouldn’t you just use the ‘backface masking’ option in the brush pallett?

Just a suggestion, here is one method you can try. I used retopology on top of a sphere and set the skin thickness to 0.02. This of course would be starting from scratch. What you might try with your existing one is turn on Backface Mask (as Gordon Robb suggested) and use the Inflat brush in Zsub mode on the underside of the leaf.
