I just got Zac Petroc’s Digital Sculpting Human Anatomy, It is an excellent resource for sculpting the body, highly recommended, here is a link for it. http://www.thegnomonworkshop.com/dvds/zpe01.html You question is a bit vague. I am not shore what you are asking. 
Depending on the tools you have on hand many ways exist. If you follow my zsphere thread in my signature you can see some great bodies people have done with zspheres and even download the base to get you going. How good it looks is up to you. You could then take it at anytime to another app to be modified if you felt you needed more (but it wouldn’t be zspheres anymore).

This will take you step by step on each part of the body. He uses Maya… I hope you know how to use maya because this is a great DVD for learning polygon box modeling.
