How do I create a cube with 4 polys per side?

How do I create, in 4R7, a cube with only 4 polys per side…or even just one poly per side? I can’t seem to figure that out.

thanks for any help with this.

EDIT; I was able to reduce the polys, but then when I had polyframe on I could not see the individual polys…the edges are not showing.

  1. Select the PolyMesh3D Star tool.
  2. Draw on the canvas and press ‘T’ for Edit mode.
  3. In the Tool>Initialize sub-palette, set the X Y and Z-Res sliders to 2.
  4. Press Tool>Initialize>QCube.

Thanks Marcus…that created the cube but I still cannot get polyframes to display the edges of the polys. It was doing it earlier this morning but then they just disappeared. Here is a screen grab of my cube…doing what you instructed and I have my zmesher brush showing the red outline of a poly but you can see that there are no edges shown in white.

I tried initializing zbrush to bring it back to default settings but still when I click the polyframe button I see no polygon divisions (edge lines).

Can anyone troubleshoot what my problem might be here?

Thanks again Marcus…your instructions helped…if I can get this edge visibility worked out I will be happy and back on my way to learning the new zmesher brush.

Look in the Polyframes box in upper left is not selected.

Thanks Doug…my 66 year old eyes are not that good anymore…guess it is time for new glasses…the ones with the coke-bottle lenses.

Yes, thanks Doug.

The new Polyframe options. Turning the button off may make it easier to turn the options on or off.

No problem guys. Proper eyewear does help with multiple conditions.
