Hi guys, this seems like a really basic/dumb question and i tried as much as i could not to ask it but i just couldnt find the answer anywhere…
Im using zbrush 4R5 with a cintiq 12wx tablet on windows 7 64 bits. Im using two monitors, the tablet being the second one. On most programs all i had to do was to maximize the program window on the cintiq display and everytime i launched the program after that, it would launch on the cintiq display, the secondary monitor. But with zbrush this doesnt seem to work. Everytime i open the program i have to drag it to the other screen and that is just outrageous. I want to force zbrush to open on my second monitor… how can i do it?
I believe you would have to set your cintiq as the main monitor in your display settings.
Thx A LOT! It worked, my monitor screen image looks like crap right now but, other than that its quite amazing. Thx
I have a Cinitq 21 UX as the third monitor in my system and what you need to do when you move ZBrush to the Cintiq is go to Preferences>Config>Store Config. ZBrush should then open on the Cintiq each time you open it.
Even better! changing the way i was changing was messing my resolution, thanks a lot for this!
When you change the main monitor, you have to make sure that each monitor’s resolution is set to it’s native setting. See CINTIQ 12WX: CONFIGURING DUAL DISPLAYS ON A PC. DLangley’s solution is much better though and I wasn’t aware that Store Config would remember that. Sorry! I’m glad you’re good to go.
Zber2 your are right, its probably the same thing in the end, its just simpler to save to config i guess… On some applications, if i wanted it to be on my big monitor, id always have to set the resolution the proper way and sometimes i couldnt do it simply cause im not very good with those things. Either way, thx a lot once again, its always to have the option!
