I’ve been getting into ZBrush more and more, as I realized it’s the easiest way to conceptualize my ideas.
For the past two weeks or so, I’ve used ZBrush every day for at least five hours at a time, and I’ve never had this problem until now.
Having loaded up ZBrush, I noticed that the contrast of the interface and everything on the screen seemed to be extremely low. Also, the object on screen (Default sphere) was shadowed so much that you could see no lower than about a third of the way down the sphere itself. You know how normally, the sphere/object on screen is shadowed in such a fashion that you can see the highlighted part, the midtone part, and the lightly shadowed part? And how you could actually see the whole object with no obstruction? Well, for some reason, I’m having problems with that.
I opened the materials panel, and every material was over shadowed as well. For example, I use mainly Basic Material 2 (if that’s what it’s called) and Colorizer 3 for sculpting (or Bump Viewer). The sculpt itself was shadowed so much that it looked like the object was emerging from a pitch black alleyway and a bit of light was reflecting off of it. You couldn’t see some parts of it.
I’ve already checked my computer screen settings, and tried adjusting colors. Also, I checked the screen brightness and then tried resetting, which ever so slightly alleviated the problem.
ALSO, the interface itself seemed to be extremely dark and contrasted. I changed the presets a few times, but they also seemed dark.
If anyone can help me fix this, it would be greatly appreciated. I’m not sure if you know this, but it’s REALLY hard to sculpt areas where you can’t see  .
On a note, I was feeling extremely tired and out of it, so that may have had something to do with it. I’ll check again later on when I can, and see if anything’s changed.
