WOW - I love it! And trust me - I am saying it ONLY when I REALLY like something. Only thing that I would change a bit is swords blade - looks a bit blurred compare to sharpness of the rest. Overall - I don’t mind seeing it in a top row!

i have to admit i dont know the original comic-books but the blade is fine…
what ISNT is the legs… he jumps, he runs, he falls off buildings… and with those legs he would break 'em every single time!
the sculpting is great, i love it! but give hom some legs!!!
some great muscle def goin on , realy like that. id like to see his weapon aswell. i feel the sword is out of place in this image. id rather see kronions blades stickin in the ground. maybe you can do abe aswell that would be cool…well done

The arms are entirely too thin for such a massive torso. other than that…and a lack of trench coat or shirt (He usually wears them) this is great work. Fix the arms and it’ll be Top Row I’m sure.

You’re also missing his hair and beard. You could do that in Post work though.
Looks nice, details are great, but yeah, his legs are too small, as are his arms, compared to the size of his body. I think his head looks too small for his body, also.
Well, his legs are supposed to be small, actually…it’s the design of the actual comic…it’s the arms that are a tad off I think.

as to my leg comment: i only know the movie and none of the comicbooks unfortunately. and in the movie he is tall but MASSIVE.
Note that all critique is towards the anatomy and noone criticizes your sculpting… and that is fair because the sculpting in itself is excellent!
looks great, I love the disproportion of this his body. The sword looks a little flat.

Hi everybody,
I’m posting new images of hellboy cover. I’ve tried to fix the arms and shoulder’s problems and also made some changes into the sword’s shader.
As you’ll see in the second image, I’ve altered the size of the arms and now they’re bigger.
According to my plans, I prefer to let him bold to show better the anatomy of his face.

Hi folks, I’m back…
I’d like to show a quickly sequence that illustrate how I did the Hellboy’s render passes on ZBrush - all the materials and the illumination are made on ZBrush. The composition was made on Photoshop.

Great work man! Congrats. Its top notch. The forms of the torso are very nice. The material and render is also great. I think the arms however are extremely small for the size of his torso. I took it into photoshop to illustrate my crit. I hope you dont mind. If you do I will remove it.
