Hard surface workflow

Hello! My name is Pawel, but you can call me wietnam67  Im from Poland, but now Im live in Sydney. But let’s talk about my problem.
I start learning zbrush few months ago (before I work in 3ds max and blender for commercial work). So, it is very good software but I have a problem with workflow around hard surface.

I make a model using dynamesh… and I don’t know what I need to do next? I make a polygroups but all of them have a very raw edge. I watch many tutorials about modeling hard surface but still I have a problem with this part of modeling.
After Zremesher I have a very wavy edge of all my polygroups. Can someone give me some tips about this part of modeling?
Thank you and sorry for my English :stuck_out_tongue:

You can always cut new polygroups using theSlice Curve functions.

Ok, Im cut new polygroup, you have a right! Now it looks better!

wietnam67 could you suggest me how to start with Zbrush ?

If you know how to use different software like 3ds max or maya or other it can be more easy start to learn zbrush. If not, no worries you can learn it very fast  First, try do some tutorial. My first tutorial was from: http://www.artofkurt.com/ - Kurt is a very good teacher, start from basic because he tell you everything what you need to start. You can find tutorial section here: http://www.artofkurt.com/tutorials/ - some of them are for free, rest you can buy for dotation (5$ minimum).
My story is different, before I come to Sydney (2 years ago) I was work like 3d generalist. Half year ago I buy my dream machine for design and start learn zbrush from basic, because before I didn’t have a time for learn it. Now I am after 6 month of zbrush learn and I see a progrss.

In my opinion, start learn how to make some organic models, for me is more easy  If you have more question ask me I try help you what the best I can!
