Hi, I’m currently using zbrush 2021. I wasnt using goz before but what I noticed today is my Goz function doesnt work. First I tried in CC3 goz it said “does not found zbrush. Please verify zbrush intallation.” Then I tried manually in Zbrush but my goz button do nothing. Then tried preferences nothing changed. Then I go to the path folder and I saw that my GozApps folder is empty. I searched for the files in internet but couldn’t find any. What should I do, any ideas?

In zbrush error: Unable to open file …/GoZbrush/Scripts/GoZExportFromZbrush

Hi @caliskanuzay
ZBrush does not support GoZ for Character Creator. You might have better luck in a forum for Character Creator.

Thanks but it is also not working for any other software. My GozApps folder is empty and I’m getting errors for Goz totally. The button is broken. Please dont think only about Character Creator 3. If it is possible I want to install those files to my GoZApps folder. and also the GoZ Export From Zbrush script

Okay I found it in the troubleshoot help folder. I installed GoZ and problem solved.

Welcome to ZBC! :slight_smile:

You can reinstall the default GoZ like this:

  1. Rename the Pixologic folder at C:\Users\Public\ to PixologicBAK. This keeps a copy of your GoZ installation in case you need to restore anything.
  2. In the C:\Program Files\Pixologic\ZBrush 2021\Troubleshoot Help folder, run the GoZ_for_ZBrush_Installer_WIN.exe file. This will rebuild your GoZ installation.
  3. Start ZBrush and press Preferences>GoZ>Force reinstall. Make sure you choose the correct path for the application you want and make sure you select “Install”.
  4. If the application is not found then use the Preferences>GoZ>path to button to select the path. Make sure to select “Install” when the option appears.

For MacOS the installation is much the same, using the GoZ_for_ZBrush_Installer_OSX.app

For installing GoZ for Character Creator and any other third party GoZ solutions you will need to contact the relevant company.

hi marcus , I found its empty under my pc C:\Users\Public\ , so ’ Rename the Pixologic folder at C:\Users\Public\ to PixologicBAK ’ can be creat a folder and name it ’ to PixologicBAK '? thank you !! ; )

Hi,

That’s OK, you don’t need to create a folder. If there is no folder ignore that line and start from (2).
