On top of the usage issues I have outlined in another thread (missing UVs in transfer) I find the following to be a very common occurrence.
Select “claws” mesh in Maya, click the GoZ button
// Warning: file: C:/Users/Public/Pixologic/GoZApps/Maya/GoZBrushFromMaya.mel line 349: fopen: unable to open file “C:\Users\Public\Pixologic\GoZProjects\Default|claws.ztn” for mode “w”.
The file is created and easily opened in a text editor - all it contains is a file path
C:\Users\Public\Pixologic\GoZProjects\Default\Sculpt_6
Needless to say it’s not the right path, it’s pointing at the wrong model. Claws.ztl does not exist.
I open another Maya file paste the claws in there and click the GoZ button and the file imports to zBrush without any issue.
So what/where is the problem?
I also note that the default directory for storing GoZ transfers is up to 4gb. It would be great to have a way of flushing cache and as a potential solution for this problem connecting meshes to tools with a dialogue inside of Maya or zBrush.
