… I have been wanting to expand my knowledge. I have heard of the gnomon dvds and that they now provide ( and have for a while ) ZBrush2 course dvds. I was wanting to know if any of you have them? and if so are they worth the money?:qu:
Hi,
I can’t afford them right now…would kill for a few of them tho hahaha…anyway…everyone so far that I either know or who has posted here about them…just rave about whichever one they got. I can’t recall seeing any complaints…doesn’t mean there aren’t any…just haven’t seen or heard any.
cool. that is what iv been hearing to… I think im going to get them ( if you are in highschool or colllege you can get them for 50 bucks
I second that, I have Meats Intro to Z Brush and Z Brush production pipeline…they are very very informative…best way to learn quickly if you ask me and definitely worth the price (even though he sounds a bit like daffy duck
I also bought Zack Petroc’s digital sculpting human anatomy,
this is very specialized…and will teach you not many new stuff…
…but bloody awesome to see him in action
Have Introduction to Zbrush by Mr. Meir.
Fantastic.
If you purchase it, wish to point out something
I found humorous.
Zbrush has pallets.
In the first lessons he pronounces it p a l l e y s
it is annoying.
Somewhere along the line, someone must have explained that
in Staten Island, New York, we call them p a l e t s.
He, at least, is trying to learn and corrected himself in the last couple.
In one of the lessons you can hear his dinner cooking in the background:D
If you made it this far, just remember fantastic and forget the rest.
haha:lol: thats pretty funny
and thanks guys… I ( being 15 and jobless untill summer ) did some oddjobs during this week and made enough cash to buy them… Cant wait
Yeah I bought the Head Sculpting dvd by Alex Alvarez and the Z-Brush basics by Meats Meiers and they are pretty good to learn from
I have all the current titles (4 at the moment)
I think Meats DVD (introduction) is by far the best because it deals with so much, but all the titles are worth checking if you can, to watch Zack Petroc at work is just unbelievable, the man is a genius with anatomy & sooooooooooo fast.
Meats second DVD (pipeline) is also good but Maya users will benefit the most, but I still got some good tips from it.
Alex Alvarez’s is good too, but a lot slower & only concentrates on one project, but this is also a good aspect as it lets you see a project from start to finish in real time (8hrs  )
All are worth the money in there own right but the most complete, especially for a noob is Meats introduction to ZB.
