Gnomon Digital sculpture DVD- xyShrinkWrap.mel ?

Hello everybody!
I was wondering if anyone who have seen the DVD of Zack Petroc know how to download the xyShrinkWrap.mel he is talking about in the last chapter Organized Mesh Creation… I d really need this script to use the stuff I ve made in Zbrush with Maya but even Google doesn t seem to know anything about this… All I found was like two broken links… does anybody know if it s free or where it is distributed or downloadable ? Strange that no link or information is given on the DVD…

thanx for your help

sure its simple, just go to highend3d.com and look under maya>mel scripts and type in xyshrinkwrap and you should see it

good luck

easy as that?:o
don t know why google wouldn t help me
thanx a lot Anh:+1:

is there anything like this for 3ds max??? This would be so great to have when refining the low poly mesh to conform better to the high poly, but so far I have not seen anything like this for max.

im working in max now and i wish there was a script like that for max too. if you find one let me know!

It’s hidden inside this oaLowResGeo 1.1.0 (a animation mel) on Highend3d.com

I’m not a big fan of using the xyshrinkwrap stuff. It just takes so long to do. I’m interested to know how you guys are using it. Do you make a high res mesh, then shrinkwrap it to your new cage, or do you sculpt a medium res mesh and shrinkwrap that?

My current workflow is to just make the cage by hand, that closely mimics the Zbrush sculpt. I use Silo for that, but you could use Maya to do the same thing. But I do a medium res sculpt in Zbrush, just to get volume details rather than superficial details. I usually do the superficial details after I redo the topology.

I’m just curious to see how you guys are implementing the xyshrinkwrap stuff. Here’s a sample of my workflow, base sculpt cage, medium res mesh for volume, and new topology cage with volume information ready for superficial details.
