Ganondorf: Zelda TotK fan art

I Loved playing through Zelda: TotK and decided to do a quick sketch of Ganondorf, which then turned into a fully fledged project.

The ZBrush planar head base mesh was my starting point. I then sculpted to a point, until I decided he was good enough to wrap a 3D scan store base mesh to. From that point, I worked it up and used some of the scan mesh landmarks as details.
Exported the Disp from ZBrush and mixed it with the 3D scan store tertiary maps in Maya Arnold.

I wanted his face to look deceptively trustworthy. So I gave him a little smirk.
Cloak was created in Marvellous Designer, retopo in Maya and detail in ZBrush.
Jewellery base meshes were created in Maya then exported to ZBrush for some minor breakup. I wanted to keep his jewellery quite clean as he is basically Gerudo royalty, but also give it a hand crafted look with some minor artefacts and hammering.
I had fun with this one. So I will most likely give him a body at some point.

I also have 2 amazing artists collaborating on this sculpt at a later date, to provide some awesome texture and groom.

I hope you like it

looks nice, hopefully it’s better when fully finished.

Very cool. I love the contrast of the gold and grey render. Thank you for sharing.

Thanks Paul  I don’t get a lot of free time, so I try to make a pretty post when I can.

It was awesome chatting when you came over to speak at my current studio (Milk-VFX).
