Have decided to post some WIP’s of a character I am working on for my final year student project, haven’t been working with ZBrush for long but have already fallen in love with it and would greatly appreciate any critique or advice I can get to improve my skills.
She looks too masculine. Her arms are too short, her head is too small, her torso is too long, her chest is too forward, her waist is too narrow, and her neck is too long.
I’ll echo what Derek said. The hips need to be slightly wider.
I’d also say the shoulders could do with being angled back and narrowed(But only fractionally).
The arms will need about 15% length added above the elbow, and maybe 10% below. If you reduce the length of the distance between hips and shoulders by 15%, the arms will start to look a bit better right away.
But… If you just fractionally increase the size of the head a bit, you might be able to get away with just a little tweak on the hips, spine length and arms.
And take a little volume out of the ribcage area.
The face is very nice though!
And it’s a great start.
Hey guys thanks a lot for the critique, I have since made an attempt to fix the major proportional errors, hopefully I got the worst of them at least. Any further advice or comments are appreciated as always:)
