Fallout 3 Cow

Hey all, awesome work on here as usual.

Well, Fallout 3 has been released so I thought I would unload my modest contribution, the two headed cow!!! Officially known as the "brahmin". This was waaaaaaaaaaaay back in the Zbrush 2 days:) I did the high poly source model, game resolution model and normal map. The texture shown here is just a rough diffuse map (not used in game), as textureing duties were handled by another artist. Comments/Crits welcome. Looks creepy, keep going!
I liked the anatomy of the legs (I can see some muscles there).
Perhaps you could just pay attention to see is the belly looks as part of a hole with the rest. Somehow it seem to deform (I know it’s the idea), but perhaps you could put at least some deformation in the rest of the thing as well.

Thanks concha. Crits appreciated, maybe I will do more for my personal portfolio but this is actually the final model that was used in the game (minus texture) so there’s no going back now:) Feel free to keep crits/comments coming though.

Cool, is there a screenshot of it in the game? I didn’t see one on their website (they need to be straightened out I tell ya!).

bill, I agree, someone should straighten thems out. I slaved in the kitchen for days baking this cow and no one appreciates it. It’s a sham!

I’m in the same boat, haven’t found many screens on the net and don’t have the game. I did find this one but still not very descriptive:

Creepy mutated cow  very scary.

I butchered your model so many times it’s ridiculous. The cows and the deathclaws, PRIME HUNTING!

Pieisgod, I’m glad it’s serving some purpose in life then, heh.

I hear it’s a pretty fun game, and that you can go “cow tipping” if you hadn’t tried that yet.

Poor cow, seems it was made to suffer.

Hey, I´m playing this game now. I love it. Played 1 and 2 many many years ago also. I just love this game…
You can find one of this on Megatown right in the beginning of the game.
Well, but i guess u know that… lol

See you!

FabioPaiva, haha, yeah I hear it’s alot of fun. Hopefully I’ll get a copy soon.

Another funny video I found, man this cow takes some abuse.

Yeah sorry, it’s from the rush they got when they finally got liberty prime operational.

Might as well milk the last drops out of this cow. Found some decent in-game screens, though I wish the in-game lighting were more dynamic. Looks like the texture artist did a nice job. The last pic is pretty funny, they’re in attack mode I think.

truly an iconic character! they looked great in 1 and 2… now they look so much better! even the way they explode! great game! great model!

Thanks 3dNoobish! Glad you like it. Please keep humiliating, torturing, and blowing the hell out of these ugly beasts:)

That’s just awesome.

Thought I’d change this to an ongoing art dump. Don’t know how often I’ll update but here’s a stylized head I’ve been working the last couple days.

Rough paint job, but it’s a start.

I think Fallout 3 just made its way to my Christmas list for the sole reason of cow tipping. Nice model man. Very unique / humorous.

Never played Fallout 1 or 2, but I heard 3 was a long time in the making… Im guessing a really long time, based on the fact that you were using ZBrush 2.

Thanks XxDarkMessiahxX!

Yeah, it was just about a couple years ago that I did the cow, so maybe I was behind the loop w/ Zbrush 3, not sure.

Started sketching out this hammerhead guy today. Hands and feet are just blobs right now;)
